cTnT —— an important marker for diagnosing myocardial injury

cTnT (cardiac Troponin T) is a type of muscle calcium protein that is part of cardiac muscle cells. It is involved in the regulation of calcium ions during muscle contraction and is one of the key regulatory factors for muscle contraction.

Cardiac troponin t antibody is a highly specific biomarker, usually at very low concentrations in the blood. However, when cardiac muscle cells are damaged, troponin T is released into the blood and its levels are significantly elevated. Therefore, measuring the cTnT level in the blood has become one of the important indicators for diagnosing myocardial injury, especially in the diagnosis of myocardial infarction.

The elevated level of cTnT can reflect the extent and scope of myocardial injury very early, thereby helping doctors make accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

In addition, cTnT can also be used to assess the risk of cardiovascular disease. Research has shown that the level of cTnT is associated with the risk of cardiovascular disease, especially for patients who already have cardiovascular disease. Changes in their cTnT levels may also indicate the progression and prognosis of cardiovascular disease.
