Protein Induced by Vitamin K Absence or Antagonist-II (PIVKA II)

Protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist II (PIVKA-II) is a putative-specific marker of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but a small number of gastric cancers may also produce it.  At present, Chinese and foreign guidelines have listed PIVKA 2 tumor marker as a significant indicator for liver cancer detection.
