Application Area — Metabolic & Chronic Disease
Skip the Screening. Start Building.
Every metabolic antibody pair is pre-validated on the platform you actually use — CLIA or ELISA. Go from catalog to assay in days, not months.
Metabolic disease antibody pairs are matched sets of capture and detection monoclonal antibodies used in sandwich immunoassays to quantify biomarkers associated with diabetes, thyroid disorders, vitamin deficiency, adrenal function and cardiovascular metabolic risk. They are the core raw material components in CLIA, ELISA and LFA diagnostic platforms used for chronic disease monitoring, risk assessment and treatment management in hospital laboratories, endocrinology clinics and POCT settings worldwide.
Metabolic and endocrine disorders represent the fastest-growing segment of the global IVD market. Diabetes alone affects over 500 million adults globally, while hypothyroidism, vitamin D deficiency and cardiovascular metabolic syndrome collectively affect hundreds of millions more. Accurate quantification of their biomarkers — requiring high sensitivity, low cross-reactivity with closely related hormones, and tight lot-to-lot consistency — is critical for both diagnosis and long-term management.
Key biomarker categories in metabolic IVD include:
One Validation. Consistent Performance. Every Batch.
Sekbio metabolic antibodies are manufactured at industrial scale with tight lot-to-lot CV and full ISO 13485-certified traceability. Validate once, produce with confidence.
All products are available as matched antibody pairs (capture + detection), individual clones or enzyme conjugates. Click any product for full specifications and platform data.

Sekbio metabolic antibody pairs are pre-validated for three IVD assay platforms, each with platform-specific recommended working concentrations and calibration data.
Chemiluminescent immunoassay pairs for automated high-throughput platforms. The primary format for HbA1c, 25-OH Vitamin D, TSH, TSHR, T3, T4, C-Peptide, Cortisol and ApoB in hospital laboratories.
Sandwich ELISA-grade pairs for laboratory quantification and research. Biotin/streptavidin and HRP-conjugated detection antibodies available for all metabolic targets.
Colloidal gold conjugates for POCT and home-use testing. Validated for HbA1c semi-quantitative monitoring in primary care and pharmacy settings.

Metabolic hormone assays combine the challenges of low analyte concentrations, structurally similar cross-reactants (LH/FSH/TSH/hCG share the alpha subunit) and sample matrix complexity. Suboptimal antibody pair performance leads to misclassification of thyroid status, incorrect HbA1c targets or false vitamin D sufficiency readings — all with direct patient management consequences.
Every metabolic antibody pair is screened in a real sandwich immunoassay with calibration curves before catalog listing. You receive a pair that works on your CLIA or ELISA platform from day one.
TSH, LH, FSH and hCG share the glycoprotein alpha subunit. Sekbio selects beta-subunit specific clones and screens against the full hormone family. All cross-reactivity data is published in datasheets.
Produced in CHO or hybridoma bioreactors at 100 mg to gram scale, with full ISO 13485 documentation for CE and FDA regulatory submissions across major global markets.
Our scientists support calibrator design, matrix interference troubleshooting and hook-effect optimization for metabolic assays at high analyte concentrations — included with every order.
Metabolic disease antibody pairs are matched sets of capture and detection antibodies used in sandwich immunoassays to quantify biomarkers associated with diabetes, thyroid disorders, vitamin deficiency and cardiovascular metabolic risk. They are the core reagent components in CLIA, ELISA and LFA platforms for chronic disease monitoring and management.
Sekbio supplies antibody pairs for nine targets: HbA1c, 25-OH Vitamin D, TSH, TSHR antibody (TRAb), Total T3, Total T4, C-Peptide, Cortisol and ApoB. All pairs are pre-validated on CLIA or ELISA platforms before catalog release.
HbA1c reflects average blood glucose over the preceding 2–3 months — the lifespan of a red blood cell. Unlike fasting glucose, which captures only a single time point, HbA1c gives an integrated picture of glycemic control correlating with the risk of diabetic complications. ADA and WHO recommend HbA1c for both diabetes diagnosis (≥6.5%) and treatment monitoring. Sekbio's HbA1c antibody pair is pre-validated for high-sensitivity CLIA platforms.
25-OH Vitamin D is the major circulating form of vitamin D and reflects overall body stores from both dietary intake and skin synthesis. The active form 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D is tightly regulated by parathyroid hormone and does not change proportionally with vitamin D status — making it unsuitable for deficiency assessment. Sekbio's 25-OH Vitamin D antibody pair detects both D2 and D3 forms and is validated for CLIA and ELISA platforms.
C-Peptide is released in equimolar amounts with insulin during biosynthesis but is not removed by the liver on first pass, giving it a longer, more stable half-life than insulin. It is a more reliable measure of endogenous insulin secretion — used to distinguish Type 1 from Type 2 diabetes, assess residual beta-cell function in insulin-treated patients, and evaluate insulin secretory capacity. Sekbio's C-Peptide antibody pair is validated for CLIA and ELISA with no cross-reactivity with intact proinsulin.
The standard MOQ is 1 mg per antibody clone, sufficient for initial assay feasibility. For scale-up and routine production, quantities from 10 mg to gram scale are available with full ISO 13485-certified batch documentation and Certificate of Analysis.
Each batch undergoes SEC-HPLC purity testing, SDS-PAGE, binding activity ELISA and functional assays specific to the thyroid hormone platform. Lot-to-lot CV is maintained below 10% for all metabolic antibody products. Full traceability documentation is provided with each shipment under ISO 13485 quality management.
